Amadeusz Franczyk

Born in Poland, Amadeusz Franczyk completed his master’s and postgraduate education degree at the Cologne University of Music and Dance by Prof. Lukas Böhm.

Through numerous master classes with Emmanuel Sejourne, Beverley Johnston, Katarzyna Mycka, Ni Fan, John H. Beck and Nippy Noya, he was able to expand his style and the understanding of music to a finer and wider horizon.

Besides his ability of solo performances, Amadeusz Franczyk is also invited to play with various German orchestras, such as the Gürzenich-Orchester, the Saarländisches Staatstheater and the Wuppertaler Bühnen.

He is the holder of several Scholarships, like Deutschlandstipendien for "special achievements in the field of percussion", the DAAD and the Hartmut und Lore Schuler Stiftung.

Due to the diversities of his musical capacities, he was invited to work with the Nextpop label and participate in television productions for RTL.

Amadeusz Franczyk composes and arranges the pieces for solo and chamber ensembles too. In 2020 he won the audience award of the "Edition Svitzer International Composition Competition" for his composition for marimba solo. In 2022 came the world premiere of his piece for percussion quartet "4 Minds", which was played by the percussion group "Percussion Under Construction" (Germany).

He has won the total of eleven prizes at national and international competitions in Poland, England, France, Denmark and Switzerland.
